SMILE is a dark comedy short that comments on the fragility of the medical insurance system. After a woman's insurance is declined at the orthodontist's office, her pursuit to resolve the matter spirals out of control when she gets hit by a car, only to end up with yet another medical bill. She evades death but nearly misses one of the most important events of her life.
